私は、東日本大震災を東京都多摩市の職場でむかえ
ました。その後、この震災が東北、関東を襲った
私たちが経験をしたことがない大震災であることを
知ることとなりました。このニュースは、世界中にも
発信され、私のところには、世界中（イギリス、ドイツ、
アゾレス島（アフリカ）、ブラジル、チリ、
オランダ領アンティレス（カリブ海）、アメリカ、カナダ、
マレーシア、フイリッピン、パキスタン）の
スカウト関係者他から安否メールが届くようになりました。
下記は、アメリカ　ウィスコンシン州　元ボーイスカウト　リーダー　シャロンさんからメールに対して
私が返信したメールです。　3月25日（金）から10日がたった時のメールです。

Are you able to get on the internet any time, or are there connection problems? 
A: We can use the internet any time in Tokyo area without blackouts of electricity time. 
 あなたはいつでもインターネット使用できますか？、または接続問題がありますか？
答： 東京地域の私たちは、停電以外はインターネットをいつでも使用できます。

How are the rolling blackouts of electricity affecting your work? 
A: Every weekday, we have blackouts of electricity in Tokyo area and East of Japan.
Yes,They are affecting our work.

答： 平日、東日本では停電があり、仕事にも影響しております。
 
 Is the train service affected throughout all of Japan?
A:No.The train service is affected in only Tokyo area and East of Japan, because electricity is different between Eastern Japan and Western Japan. Eastern Japan use 50Hz. Western Japan use 60Hz.
Now, Eastern Japan do not have enough electricity.but Western Japan electricity can not send to Eastern Japan.
 電車運転は、日本中で影響を受けてますか?
答：いいえ、東京地域と東日本だけ影響を受けております。なぜならば、東日本と西日本では、
電気が異なっているためです。 東日本では50Hzを使用しています。 西日本では60Hzを使用しています。
今、東日本には、十分な電気がありません。しかし、西日本の電気を東日本に送る事ができません。

It sounds like things are manageable in Tokyo.  Are people worried about food supplies?  So many families are experiencing the devastation of the earthquake and tsunami.  I think the Japanese are a strong and determined people who are thinking ahead of rebuilding the country.
A:These day, We can buy almost everything in Tokyo area.but Northern Japan still has not enough food and etc becouse Trafic still is not good.
東京では、あまり困っていないようですが、 食物の供給は、心配ありませんか? とても多くの家族が
地震と津波の災害にあいました。 私は、日本人は、復興にあたり強くて決断力ある民族であると思います。
答:最近、東京地域では、ほとんどの物を買うことができます。しかし、北日本では、まだ十分な食物等が手に入りません。
なぜならば、交通網がまだ良くはありません。
 
Do you think the SAJ will become involved?  In your opinion what are the best organizations to donate money to for helping in the northeast region?  We would like to help by donating, but are not sure which one will benefit the people most directly.

Also,Eastern Chiba had damage by the earthquake and tsunami, then our Chiba council is helping now. Our scout group chairman went to there for the helping.
